I've seen a bunch of other blogs talking about this song today as it recently released, talking about how Robin wrote it for Michael Jackson. However, I've yet to see anyone else mention that Glenn Lewis actually recorded the song as well and released it back in 2003. After listening to all three back to back, I have to give the slight edge to Michael's version of the song, with Glenn Lewis coming in second and Robin (mostly due to his limited vocal range) a distant third.
Here is Glenn Lewis' version which was included on the "Maid in Manhattan" soundtrack. He was also featured in the movie singing the song.
Here is Michael's version which failed to make the cut for his "Invincible" album but was released on his "Ultimate Collection" album.
It is crazy that Glenn Lewis isn't more of a household name. I also think his version is the best of the three.
