If you aren't familiar with Kiley Dean (and I don't blame you if you aren't), she was an r&b singer previously signed to Timbaland's Beat Club Records. Her debut album from 2002 "Simple Girl" was shelved but her debut single "Make Me a Song" made a decent impact on the charts. It's rare to find a white woman singing r&b, but she was actually a pretty good singer in her time. Here is an unreleased song she has that was written by and also recorded by Brandy. This song might have been scheduled to appear on Dean's second album. Who do you think did a better job with this? It's natural to assume Brandy, but give it a listen and decide for yourself.

Even if Brandy is my favorite living artist (my favorite artist ever was Aaliyah), this time my vote goes to Kiley. She killed it! This is one of my favorites songs ever. B.
ReplyDeleteBtw: could you please provide links for both songs. Quality of your tracks are better than ones I've got. Thanks in advance. B.
