Here's Part two for you. Just listen to how talented he is singing; he sounds almost just as good live as he does in the studio! Some timeless hits right here.
This is the first single from her upcoming album "Late Night's, Early Mornings" which will be in stores later this year. You know I'm looking forward to it!!
Such a gem, it's a shame this song has never found a proper release. Glenn is so talented that it kills me to think about the fact labels won't give him a chance to release a record. Shout out to TriciaMinga for today's request!
I had the pleasure of seeing Jon B. live at B.B. Kings in NYC 7/26/10 and was able to get footage of pretty much the whole show. In total, Jon did 15 songs spanning his whole career and even premiered a new song from his upcoming album "Comfortable Swagg."
I had the pleasure of attending Jon B.'s concert tonight live from B.B. Kings live in NYC, and I took a whole bunch of footage to share with you all. He even debuted the first single from his new album. Stayed tuned for that coming tomorrow!
My admiration for Rahsaan Patterson's music continues to grow. I recently had a chance to listen to his third album, 2004's "After Hours" and came away very impressed; the man has soul! Besides his amazing voice, I found him to be very versatile as he ventured between neo-soul and traditional r&b. Here are two selections that stood out to me on the album, and I hope you enjoy them also. Special thanks to Lucille from Mack Avenue Records!
Although it's not widely known, Donell was part of the group Porshe before launching solo career. They released this song on Eddie F. Untouchables compilation.
Philly's Most Wanted "Please Don't Mind" featuring Andre Wilson
I really just wanted to highlight Andre Wilson here, who never actually released an album himself. He's the younger cousin of Charlie Wilson as you can probably hear in the voice.
It will be in stores, are you looking forward to it? You think it will be any good? I'm not sure what to expect. Here are the first two singles if you haven't heard.
I've always felt that Nina Sky's self titled debut album back in 2004 was pretty underrated. It wasn't amazing by any means, but it had a few pretty good tracks that have kept them on my radar since. Here is a good example of that, probably my favorite track on the album.
Although I haven't confirmed it, I don't need to, there is no doubt this song was written by Tank, it has his style allllll over it. In fact, he has J. Valentine singing just like him on this one! I'm feelin it though, and this is off of Valentine's new mixtape "The Testimony."
Something brand new from Nina Sky, fresh off of their official page:
"We've been tweeting for months about our new project and now we make it official! Here's "You Ain't Got It" a new track we collaborated on w/ DJ Yonny from our upcoming EP The Otherside which drops this Summer!!
We sampled one of our favorite dance joints from the 90's, "Funk That" by Sagat and flipped it w/ some Na**Sky melodies."
Well first of all, I apologize for the poor quality on this song, but I just had to share it with you. I was hooked on this song after one listen; the vocal arrangements are crazy!! Dondria's debut album is expected in August, and you should hear the final version of this song on there.
This is the original of the song Joe was featured on by Keith Sweat and which appeared on Keith's just released album "Ridin Solo." Both are good in my opinion, and you can listen to the original here.
Well, their new album "The Remedy" has been pushed back once again, this time until September. What do you think, does the group still have what it takes? From all of the material I've heard over the past year, I'm divided.
