New Joint: Sterling Simms "Somebody to Love" (Usher Demo)
What many music fans don't realize is that almost every time you hear Usher (or a lot of big name artists for that matter) singing a song with his amazing voice, there is an equally amazing writer behind the scenes creating the song for him. This is no disrespect to Usher or others, but that's just the way it is in the industry and writers deserve their credit as well. I debuted the Usher version of the song (Click Here to Listen) a few days ago, now here is the original from Sterling.
New Joint: Jagged Edge "Bedroom" (Remix)
It's really cool to see how artists these days are embracing their fans and not only taking the time to interact with them on Twitter, but releasing music on there and asking for instant feedback. That's where we got this new song from Jagged Edge, who was fortunate enough to provide fans with a download link on their Twitter page. The song is pretty good, I just always preferred the slow and mid-tempo songs from Jagged Edge.

New Joint (Slam Pick): Keke Wyatt "So Confused"
This is one of my favorite songs from her latest album "Who Knew." I haven't had a chance to review the album yet, but from listening to it one time through I'll tell you that her voice is still amazing as it was when she first came out. If you've heard the album, what did you think?
New Joint: Jaheim "Make Sure" featuring Kandi
This was a leftover from his recent album "Another Round." I can pretty much see why it didn't make the album, I wasn't really feeling it from the start, and I don't think it's better than any of the songs on the album. That being said, it's still nice to hear a duet like this between these two talented singers.
New Joint: R. Kelly "Tonight" (Produced by Tha Cornaboyz)
Why, Robert, Why? There are few things that irk me more than hearing a talented singer using autotune on a song, but I guess that's the direction his music has headed over the years. Just call this "Exhibit A" of why I'm not a fan of his much anymore. I haven't really been feeling much of his music since the "Happy People" album in 2004.
Lost Soul: Jon B. "Cool Relax"
I posted the video version (the remix) as today's Classic Vibe, now here is the album version of "Cool Relax." I'm not sure what made him decide to go with the remix for the video, but I know it must have been a hard decision because both versions are very good. I actually very slightly prefer the album version which was produced by Raphael Saadiq because it has that smooth, mellow, feel good vibe to it; but you can't go wrong either way. This is the type of song you can put on when it's a bright, sunny day and you are kickin' back and just relaxing for the day.

Classic Vibe: Jon B. "Cool Relax" Remix featuring Guru (Produced by DJ Premier)
After falling in love with the original version of "Cool Relax," I didn't think it was even possible that a remix would come close, but leave it to DJ Premier to cook up a classic remix. Released as the final single from the "Cool Relax" album, this song didn't do much commercially, but from my point of view that never really has much to do with judging the quality of music. One thing I will say about this video though, unless I'm totally missing something, I'm not sure how it relates to the song at all!
